BirthplaceLiving sceneVerified schoolsGold credentialWhat you can realistically reach: A 2-3 day accredited course gets you a novice/entry competition licence and the right to grid up in club racing - it proves you can drive safely wheel-to-wheel, read flags, and pass an on-track test. It does not make you fast or a finished racer: real race craft (qualifying pace, traffic, consistency, car setup) takes seasons of club events after the licence. Most bodies still require you to log races to upgrade from a provisional/novice permit to a full licence.
A complete, no-fluff path from road driver to licensed racer in a single weekend. Two days in school-provided GR86 race coupes at a 2:1 instructor ratio, building from track-craft to wheel-to-wheel, then a real 30-minute race with classmates and licensed PRO3 racers - and you leave qualified for an SCCA, ICSCC and SOVREN competition licence.

I built the Atlas because I got tired of the second kind. Here is what a place has to clear before it goes on here, and what I'll tell you straight when it doesn't.
If a place dodges these, that's your answer. It costs you nothing to ask, and it tells you everything.
This is the short version. The full method is here — the six questions, in order, for any craft anywhere.
