The evidence-based, board-recognised home of root-cause care — a fast-growing community of clinicians who treat causes over symptoms. A clinician's credential, built on a real medical board.
Lifestyle medicine has no ancient birthplace. The idea that daily habits shape health is as old as Hippocrates, but the name and the institutions are American and recent. In 1991 Ernst Wynder of the American Health Foundation in New York, who had spoken out against cigarettes since 1950, titled a paper “Listen to nature: the challenge of lifestyle medicine”. James Rippe published a textbook called Lifestyle Medicine in 1999, and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine held its first general meeting in 2004. The United States is still its centre. Its board began certifying in 2017 with 221 US physicians, and by 2022 counted 2,445 diplomates.

⚠ This entry is a country and a board, not a town, so there is no local community to weigh. What exists is a professional college of clinicians joined by a credential rather than by an address — real, and distributed. There is no room here you could stand in.
Evidence-basedBoard-recognisedEvidence-based six-pillar training; board certification built on an existing medical board cert. Not open to the public.

If a place dodges these, that's your answer. It costs you nothing to ask, and it tells you everything.
This is the short version. The full method is here — the six questions, in order, for any craft anywhere.
